What is PCOS? and how it can be cured

Let me clear the confusion first, the difference between PCOS and PCOD…? they both are same. PCOS is elaborated as Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome and PCOD as Polycystic ovarian disease. There is no difference between PCOS and PCOD, they are just another name.

What is PCOS?

Polycystic ovarian syndrome is caused when the egg is fertilized and cold not come out of the ovaries and take the form of multiple ovarian cysts. Female’s releases fertilized eggs on every menstrual cycle and PCOS can cause irregular or no periods.

How is PCOS caused?

PCOS can be caused if there is a hormonal imbalance or also from hypertension. It also has a hereditary component and can be transferred from a mother to daughter.

Symptoms of PCOS/PCOD

Very common symptoms are facial hair, irregular periods, acne and obesity. If any female is suffering from mentioned symptoms should definitely consult a doctor.

What people usually do, when suffering from PCOS/PCOD

First of all, visit a gynecologist for a check-up. They will suggest you have an ultrasound and sometimes also blood test just to check the hormonal imbalance. Once you are done with the tests I would prefer you to not to go for an allopathic treatment and instead visit a homeopathic doctor. I have several reasons to say that, first- allopathic treatments include contraceptive pills. The reason for giving contraceptive pills for medication is they make a hormonal balance and the reason of not having them is they will increase your weight gradually. Hence, it could also vary from person to person.

Doctors will ask you to eat the same medicine for three months (you have to take 21 pills in a month, one pill daily for 21 days) along with one more tablet (that has to be consumed only for three days in a month). And the second reason to not go for this medication is even after completing 3 months medication and going through all the side-effects there is no guarantee of getting rid of the disease. You may have to take the treatment further.

What you should actually do?

On a very personal recommendation, one should go for a homeopathy medication. It doesn’t have any side-effects and deals the problem from the root. You have to continue the medicine until the time your periods are on time and regular. Homeopathy usually doesn’t offer any guaranteed time to solve the cure as it depends on the body to adopt the medication. Tentatively it can take 5-6 months to overcome the disease.

What else needs to be done?

Mind your food and steps. Yes, that exactly means you should eat healthily and do some physical exercises like daily walk or some basic aerobics to stay fit. As obesity is the main symptom of the disorder, so it might happen you will overeat.

Please Note: The information is totally authors view point. You must consult your doctor for reference.
