SURPRISING EFFECTS OF SPIRITUALITY ON THE BRAIN

Science says that a human body consists of bones, muscles, heart etc. but these are human organs visible to all of us, but there are certain energy points which our body are comprised of. These are called “Chakras”. Total there are seven chakras namely – The crown chakra, the third eye chakra, the throat chakra, the heart chakra, the solar nexus chakra, the sacral chakra, the root chakra. The crown chakra is located at top of our head and is reviewed as the point of association with God and is used for spiritual fate.

Let us understand the complex body organ – The Human Brain

It comprises of cerebrum, cerebellum and brainstem. Cerebrum is the largest part of brain divided into two parts – left and right hemispheres and perform major activities like touch, hearing, vision, feelings, and body part movement. The next is cerebellum which mainly performs body posture and balance. The last part is brainstem which is connected to spinal cord and performs internal body functions like breathing, heart rate, digestion, swallowing etc.

 Vedas see human body in terms of frequencies as follows:-

Delta waves (0.1 to 3 Hz) – Corresponding human body part include eye, nose, mouth, neck.

Theta Waves (4-7 Hz) – Shoulder, face, ear noise works at this frequency range

Alpha waves (8-12 Hz) – Stomach, intestines, womb, and waist works at this frequency.

Beta waves (16-30 Hz) – Diaphragm, kidney, cervical spine, hand, hand and foot works at this frequency range.

Mediation increases our brain functioning and thus ability of our body’s antibodies to fight against foreign bodies and heal our body. Human is considered as an emotional being, but sometimes these emotions can rule our brain and control our actions. Depression, mental illness, anxiety, pain, psychological stress etc., these problems nowadays are common among youth, even adults and no physical medication can cure them. Mediation, taking your brain to another level of understanding can. Scientist have found that spiritual meditation also called as “dhyan” helps our brain to overcome stress, depression and releases all the negative frequencies and let positive energy flow into your body by channelizing all frequencies of your brain.

Everyone wants to be successful, get famous but is it just the hard work that gives you this? No, it is the practice of channelizing, synergizing your energy onto your target and the working towards achieving it. Now the question is how to do this? All the famous personalities like Jeff Bezos, Mark Zuckerberg, and Steve Jobs etc. wake up early in the morning and mediates, do exercise to channelize their energy.

Spirituality is a broad concept and different people have different perceptions about it. Basically, it includes a sense of connection to something bigger than ourselves, and has a passion to a search for a meaning in our lives. It is a universal human experience and it touches all of us in some way or the other. Some people might compare this spiritual experience as sacred or transcendent or simply a deep sense of aliveness and interconnectedness.

Spirituality doesn’t only mean to worship and perform spiritual activities. It is a complete set of activities that one should perform daily starting with early morning meditation, yoga, worship your idols-it could be your God, your parents etc., performing your work with all your energy and with complete honesty because ultimately it is your brain who is responsible for all your actions and it is brain who should be trained to attain peace in your life.
